WELCOME TO IRONSTONE CONSULTING & DESIGN

Atlanta's Trusted Residential Commercial Land Surveyors

Land Surveyor Serving Atlanta, GA

Atlanta lots are small, old and tightly packed, which is exactly where a precise survey pays for itself. Many intown parcels were platted a century ago, fences rarely sit on the true line, and neighbors build right up to the edge. Before you buy, refinance, add on or put up a fence, you need to know exactly where your property starts and stops.

IronStone Consulting & Design works throughout the City of Atlanta, from Buckhead and Midtown to East Atlanta, Grant Park and the West End. Our crews combine GPS, robotic total stations and drone LiDAR so we can work efficiently on tight urban lots and large commercial sites alike.

EXPERIENCE THE IRONSTONE DIFFERENCE

Looking for a Land Surveyor in Atlanta?

Most Atlanta projects we see involve infill construction, additions, ADUs, fence and driveway disputes, and closings where the lender or title company needs a current survey. Commercial clients call us for ALTA/NSPS land title surveys and topographic surveys ahead of site plans. Because Atlanta and Fulton County keep their own zoning, permitting and plat records, we research the recorded plats and deeds before we ever set foot on site, so your survey is ready for the permit desk the first time.

Communities we serve in Fulton County: Buckhead, Midtown, East Atlanta, West End, Grant Park, Sandy Springs, East Point, College Park.

Our Fulton County services include boundary and property line surveys, fence and line staking, FEMA elevation certificates, topographic and tree surveys, lot splits and plats, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and construction staking. See our residential surveys, commercial surveys, builder services and drone and LiDAR mapping.

Frequently Asked Questions

These are the questions Atlanta property owners ask us most. Every property is different, so call us at (770) 957-4614 to talk through your specific project.

For additions, new homes, accessory structures, pools and many fences, the City of Atlanta generally asks for a site plan or survey that shows property lines, setbacks and existing improvements. We prepare surveys and site plans drawn to what the permit reviewer needs, so you are not sent back for revisions.

Price depends on the type of survey, the size and terrain of the property, how many corners must be found or set, and how much research the Fulton County Clerk of Superior Court records require. A platted subdivision lot is usually faster than wooded or rural acreage with an old deed description. Call (770) 957-4614 or request a quote for a firm price.
